The activist Khalifa Ababacar Khoureychi Ba, also known as “Khalifa Rappeur”, was released on Thursday 4 September 2025. The Chamber of Accusation has granted him a provisional liberty, pending his trial before the Tribunal correctionnel. Proche du parti Pastef, he had been incarcerated since May 2025, following his indictment for “defamation, public injuries, illicit collection and dissemination of personal data, provocation to crimes and crimes, as well as endangering the life of others”.
Justice Khalifa Rappeur has been granted provisional liberty.
