The iron fist is intensifying in the justice sector. L’Entente SYTJUST UNTJ has announced a 48-hour strike, scheduled for Thursday 31 July and Friday 1 August 2025, to protest against what it calls the government’s authoritarian drift. In a communiqué, the trade unions denounce the persistent silence of the Minister of Justice and the indifference of the Minister of the Public Service, despite five months of regular notice. “Our movement is no longer a simple professional demand, but a trade union resistance to a power that prefers repression to dialogue”, fustige l’Entente. The workers of justice point the finger at practices considered liberticidal: abusive requisitions, suspension of salaries and pressures aimed at breaking their mobilization. For them, these methods reflect a desire to silence agents who nevertheless play a key role in the functioning of the rule of law. In the face of this situation, the Entente SYTJUST UNTJ calls on all the trade unions, the central and living forces of the nation to join this mobilization, which it describes as a fight for the safeguard of trade union rights and democratic acquis. ” Vive la résistance syndicale! ” It is the end of the world. ” concluded the communiqué.
