Who, of the former presidents Abdoulaye Wade and Macky Sall, has the best record, particularly in infrastructure? This question deserves to be asked, all the more so since Sall, l’élève, has always been suspected of wanting to outdo Wade, le maître. Moreover, each of these regimes has always exhibited its achievements as being a balance which speaks for itself. It is, moreover, their main political argument in electoral campaigns, but also in the debates with their opponents. Abdoulaye Wade is known for his grand réalisations, the most visible of which are the autoroute à péage, l’aéroport Blaise Diagne (terminated by Macky Sall) ou le Monument de la Renaissance. In terms of mobility, beyond the highway, Wade also has to his credit the Corniche Ouest and its luxury hotels, a project entrusted to his son Karim, which made a lot of noise.
