Man Shot Dead While Inside His Car In Marianhill, No Arrests

Durban – A man has been shot dead in broad daylight while inside his car in Marianhill.

ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson said the shooting occurred before 3pm on Saturday, 11 April 2026, at the intersection of Milkyway Robots in the Marianhill area just outside Pinetown.

“Paramedics from EMRS and ALS Paramedics arrived to find SAPS already in attendance, with the area around a luxury vehicle cornered off,” said Jamieson.

“Medics were shown to the driver and only occupant of the vehicle, a male believed to be in his 40s, who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his body.

“Paramedics assessed the man; however, there was nothing Paramedics could do for him, and he was declared deceased on the scene.”

The roadway was closed by Metro Police while investigations continued.

At this stage, the events leading up to the shooting are unknown, and the man’s identity has not been made public.

No arrests have been reported.

Police are investigating.
