The mother of the young victim, Mme Diallo, told the investigators of the police station of La Médina that she had returned to her home around 3 p.m., after having taken her husband, suffering from mental deficiency, to the hospital of Fann. She was then laid to rest, unaware that her son, T.M.G. Diallo, 9 years old, was out playing.. Around 18 hours, the child returned and revealed to his mother that Mouhamed Dia had lured him into his room and had sexually abused him in the sodomising. Accompanied by her other sons, Mme Diallo immediately went to the suspects before alerting the police.
