A mentally unstable lecturer, Emmanuel Peter, has disappeared from his sick bed in the Adamawa State capital, Yola.
Peter, 40, a lecturer with the Department of Public Administration, Muhammadu Buhari University, formally University of Maiduguri, was diagnosed of psychotic disorder, seizure and substance abuse addiction.
He was being treated at the Psychiatric Ward of the Modibbo Adama University Teaching Hospital in Yola when he suddenly was nowhere to be found.
The Adamawa State Police Command, which has taken up the matter, said Peter, who is dark in complexion and speaks Hausa, Marghi and English languages, needs to be found and returned to continue his treatment.
“Members of the public with useful information that could assist in locating him are kindly urged to report at the nearest Police Station, Office of the PPRO or contact 0706 290 1177, 08065803697,” the Command said in a ‘Missing Person’ notice issued by image maker, SP Suleiman Nguroje.
