The Ministry of Youth and Sports has sent a circular letter, dated 9 October 2025, to the regional governors to remind them of the date of the end of the sporting season of the Movement ” Navétane “. According to the document signed by the Minister Khady Diène Gaye, this decision is part of the implementation of the directives of the President of the Republic on the control of the calendar of sports activities. This orientation derives from the national consultations on the reform of the “Navetanes” movement held on 20 February and 4 March 2025. In application of the circular letter No 0062 of 25 April 2025, the Ministry invites the administrative authorities to take all the necessary measures, in coordination with the competent services, to ensure compliance with the deadline for the closure of the season, set at 15 October 2025. The Minister also underlined her attachment to the good execution of this measure, which aims to harmonise and modernise the management of the sports calendar at national level. Copies of the letter were sent to the Minister of the Interior, the Senegalese National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSS), ONCAV, ONGAM, as well as to the relevant departments of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
