KwaZulu-Natal Hawks commander Deena Govender received R2.5 million in as-yet-unexplained cash deposits before and after his task team shot and killed a tow truck operator and his three friends. The dead man allegedly accused Govender of being paid to kill him in a recording made two months before his death.
