The SAS Manthatisi, thrust into the spotlight after three crew members were swept off the vessel by huge waves during an exercise off Kommetjie in September 2023, is among the SA Navy’s key sea-going assets taking part in its annual Exercise Red Lion 2026 sea readiness exercise.
