NPA announces arrival of 37 ships carrying fuel, food, others in Lagos portsĀ 

The Nigerian Ports Authority, NPA, has announced that no fewer than 37 vessels laden with petroleum products, food supplies and other cargoes are scheduled to arrive at major ports in Lagos.

According to the agency’s daily shipping position, the vessels are expected at Apapa Port, Lekki Deep Sea Port and Tin Can Island Port betweenĀ May 11Ā andĀ May 15, 2026.

The NPA disclosed that 10 of the incoming ships are carrying diesel and aviation fuel, while one vessel is transporting petrol.

It added that another 10 vessels are expected with containerised cargoes containing assorted goods.

The remaining ships are billed to berth with consignments including fresh fish, general cargo, bulk wheat, sugar, gasoline, petrol and crude oil.

The authority also revealed that one vessel has already arrived at Apapa Port and is currently awaiting berth allocation for the discharge of bulk fertiliser.

In addition, the NPA stated that about 15 ships are presently offloading various cargoes at the ports, including containers, petrol, diesel, fertiliser, trucks, base oil, fresh fish, bulk wheat and other general goods.

The operations are ongoing across Apapa Port, Lekki Deep Sea Port and Tin Can Island Port as maritime activities continue within the Lagos port corridors.
