NWFL Playoff: Edo Queens go top after Abia Angels rout 

Edo Queens moved to the summit of the Nigeria Women’s Football League, NWFL, playoff table following a comprehensive 6-2 victory over Abia Angels on Wednesday.

It was the 2024 champions’ second win in the competition.

Moses Aduku’s side now have six points from three games which put them in a good position to win the title for the second time.

Chioma Moses, who opened scoring for Edo Queens in the third minute netted four times in the game.

Precious Oscar, and Atume Doosuur were the other scorers for the Benin City club.

Abia Angels, who are making their debut in the NWFL playoff got their goals through Mariam Abdulrasheed, and Blessing Saleh.
