President Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye has appointed the twelve new members of the Office national de lutte contre la corruption (OFNAC). A first in the history of the institution, since these nominations are the result of a transparent process of call à candidatures, open to the public and having aroused a record participation of 2025 applicants. This approach marks a clear will of the new regime: to establish a model of governance based on integrity, competence and transparency. The objective is to rebuild the credibility of a central organ in the fight against corruption, long weakened by criticism. In accordance with the law of 3 September 2025, the Ministry of Justice has set up a selection committee to examine the dossiers and hear the preselected candidates. After a rigorous examination, the Committee has forwarded to the Presidency a shortlist of personalities who meet the highest ethical standards. By decree, President Diomaye Faye retained twelve members, among whom: Moustapha Ka, magistrate, appointed President of the OFNAC; Birahime Seck, well-known figure in civil society and anti-corruption activist, appointed Vice-President. They are joined by experts in evaluation, civil administrators, magistrates, and three associate professors from the faculties of law, guaranteeing a diverse and competent college. A strong signal in the fight against corruption.
