In an official visit of more than five days to Turkey, Senegalese Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko concluded four partnership agreements with the Turkish authorities. These agreements were signed in the presence of the President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, at the presidential palace in Ankara. After face-to-face talks and enlarged meetings between the delegations of the two countries, four cooperation agreements were signed between the Republic of Senegal and the Republic of Turkey. According to the Anadolu Agency, during the signing ceremony, the Turkish Minister of Defense, Yasar Güler, and the Minister of the Senegalese Armed Forces, General Birame Diop, paraphrased two texts: Agreement on military financial cooperation between the two governments. and the “Protocol of amendment n° 1 of the Protocol of application of the financial assistance of 28 January 2020”.. In addition, the “Accord de coproduction et de coopération dans les domaines du cinéma, de l’audiovisuel et du multimédia” was signed by the Turkish Minister of Commerce, Ömer Bolat, and the Senegalese Minister of African Integration and Foreign Affairs, Yassine Fall. Finally, the “Protocol of application for the years 2025-2028 of the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of higher education” was signed by the President of the Turkish Council of Higher Education (YÖK), Erol Özvar, and the Senegalese Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation, Yassine Fall
Ousmane Sonko has signed four key agreements with Turkey
