The President of the National Assembly, Mr El Malick Ndiaye, received in audience, on Wednesday 11 June, His Excellency Mr Li Zhigang, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Senegal. This meeting was a privileged opportunity to discuss the prospects for strengthening bilateral relations between Senegal and China, with particular emphasis on the parliamentary, economic and technological aspects. His Excellency Mr Li Zhigang, in post in Dakar since April 2025, welcomed the excellence of the bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two countries. It reaffirmed China’s unwavering commitment to support Senegal in its development efforts through a partnership based on trust, solidarity and mutual respect. Mr El Malick Ndiaye welcomed the Ambassador and stressed the vitality and solidity of the Sino-Senegalese partnership, illustrated by dynamic cooperation in the fields of infrastructure, economy, technology and human exchanges.
