​Political violence from 2021 to 2024: 65 complaints already filed by victims, reveals Seydi Gassama 

  Seydi Gassama, executive director of Amnesty International Senegal, who has always been committed to the victims of political violence between 2021 and 2024, applauded the authorities’ decision to open an investigation into these events. In an interview with L’Observateur, he revealed that 65 complaints had been lodged by the victims and affirmed that justice has the necessary means to prosecute those responsible for these crimes. Most of the victims lodged complaints with the prosecutors’ offices or the deans of the investigating judges in Dakar, Ziguinchor, Saint-Louis, Kolda and Sédhiou, with the help of lawyers mandated by Amnesty International, the Raddho and the Lsdh. These lawyers will accompany the victims and their families throughout the investigation. Questioned on a possible prior consultation of Amnesty International, M.
