The State preliminaries for this year’s President Federation Cup competition began on Monday, with the final matches scheduled for either February 22nd or February 23rd, according to the NFF Competitions Department. “All final matches in the States must take place on either Saturday, February 22nd, or Sunday, February 23rd, 2025, unless otherwise approved by the NFF in special cases. Not complying with these dates, without NFF’s special approval, will result in a fine of N1 million for the violating State FA.” Concurrently, any Club that does not fulfill its match obligations at the State level, after the draw has been announced, will incur a penalty of N500,173. “If any club fails to participate in a match during the National competition, it will face a fine of N1 million,” stated Ruth David, Director of Competitions. The National Play-Off for this year’s competition is set for March 5th, with the National Draw taking place a week later. The Rounds of 64, 32, and 16 are scheduled for March 19th, April 2nd, and April 16th, 2025, respectively.
