Cape Town – A Police Colonel linked to the Western Cape Protection and Security Services (PSS) has been arrested for sexual assault and rape.
“It is alleged that the accused Colonel sexually assaulted and raped his female subordinate in May 2025,” stated the Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID) in a terse statement on Tuesday, 13 April 2026.
“The suspect is detained at the Wynberg holding cells and will make his first appearance at Wynberg Magistrate Court tomorrow, 15 April 2026.
Although details remained sketchy, IPID spokesperson Lizzy Suping​​​​​ said the unnamed suspect was being detained at the Wynberg Police Station.
Suping said the accused from PSS will make his first appearance at Wynberg Magistrate’s Court tomorrow, Wednesday, 15 April 2026.
