Robbers target a community in Kwara, resulting in the abduction of three individuals.

On Monday, three individuals were kidnapped in the Gbugbu community of Edu Local Area in Kwara State, as reported by DAILY POST. The victims, consisting of two adults and a teenager, included a state government official who was taken between 10:00 and 11:00 PM. SP Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, the Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed this incident during a conversation with DAILY POST in Ilorin on Tuesday. It was noted by our correspondent that abductions in Edu LGA continue to occur frequently despite the presence of security forces in the area. Similar incidents have also been noted in other communities, such as Ndeji, where locals have fled their homes in search of safety. Security agencies, including soldiers, police, civil defense members, local hunters, and vigilantes, as stated by the police command’s spokesperson, are ramping up their efforts to eradicate criminal activities in the local government and in nearby areas like Ifelodun and Patigi, where bandit hideouts have been identified.
