John Dumelo, a 75-year-old Ghanaian artist, producer, and Member of Parliament Elect for Ayawaso West Wuguon, has been left devastated by the demise of his father, Engineer John William Kudzo Anato-Dumelo Snr. Dumelo paid tribute to the father on his social media page.
In a profound article, Dumelo revealed that only days before his father’s sudden death. According to him, they spent quality time discussing various aspects of life, politics, and business. He also disclosed how his father gave him gentlemanly guidance on his approaching swearing-in service, urging him to serve diligently in politics.
“You called me several days yesterday to notice you,” Dumelo wrote. ” We sat on the bed and spoke at length about elections, career, farming, and business—and, of course, we gossiped. We spoke about my swearing-in in three days”.
Reports had it that tragically, just 10 minutes after leaving his family’s side, Dumelo was informed that his father was indifferent. Despite rushing him to the doctor, he could not be revived.
Expressing his heavy grief, Dumelo penned: “Thanks for being my dad, thanks for being my best friend, cheers for being my number one cheer, and thanks for whatever you did for me. Say hi to grandmother”.
