The Commissariat urbain de Saly will proceed, on 1 August 2025, to the dismantling of a QNET network based at Saly-Carrefour. This operation follows a complaint for fraud lodged by a foreign national, victim of an abuse involving two individuals of foreign nationality, involving an amount of 43 000 FCFA. According to the victim, a woman made him come to Senegal promising him a job in Mbour. Once there, he was taken to an apartment, then received in the offices of QNET at Saly-Carrefour for an alleged interview. He was ordered to pay 650 000 FCFA for the purchase of a product which was supposed to guarantee him a weekly commission of 150 000 FCFA. After payment, the defendants presented him with products and demanded that he in turn recruit six persons to collect commissions, thus revealing a pyramid-type system. Having refused to participate in this commercial activity, the victim asked for reimbursement, but was informed that he had already acquired a product named “BioDisc”. After the scandal, he seized the authorities. The investigation led to the arrest of two individuals involved in the fraud, as well as the dismantling of the QNET office in Saly-Carrefour.
