Super Eagles defender is poised to sign with the Cypriot team Aris Limassol.

Leon Balogun appears poised to sign with Cypriot club Aris Limassol after leaving the Scottish Premiership team Rangers. This transfer will reunite him with his former defensive teammate Connor Goldson from Rangers. As reported by the Scottish Sun, the ambitious club Aris has made Balogun an offer to play by the Mediterranean Sea. The 36-year-old’s contract with Rangers ended last month, marking the conclusion of his second stint at Ibrox. The centre-back featured in 20 league matches for the Light Blues last season and has prior experience with clubs in both Germany and England. Balogun and Goldson partnered on the field during Rangers’ recent successes in the cup, including the 2022 Scottish Cup victory over Hearts and the League Cup win against Aberdeen the following year. Meanwhile, Aris secured fourth place in the Cypriot League last season, with Pafos FC taking the championship. Written by Adeboye Amosu.
