Following the arrest of journalist Madiambal Diagne in France, the coordinator of the Forum du justiciable (FJ) made a post on X to comment on this case. Babacar Bâ called for the rights of Madiambal Diagne to be respected. “We have learned of the arrest of journalist Madiambal Diagne in France, following an international arrest warrant that the Pool Judiciaire financier (PJF) had launched at his place. We appeal to the strict respect of his presumption of innocence and the rights of defence”, he said. The accused is being prosecuted for association of criminals, embezzlement of public funds, money laundering by an organised criminal group and for the use of a facility provided by the exercise of a professional activity, and complicity of that leader.
