Turkish journalist Levent Tüzemen has disclosed details of a discussion he had with Galatasaray president Dursun Özbek concerning the future of Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen.
The question has been where the former African Footballer of the Year will pursue his career as the summer transfer window approaches.
Osimhen had another remarkable season in Turkey, scoring 22 goals and providing eight assists in 33 matches across all competitions for Galatasaray.
His consistent performances have attracted the attention of several elite European clubs, including Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atlético Madrid, Arsenal, and Chelsea.
Tüzemen stated that when he inquired with Özbek about Osimhen’s status, the club president firmly stated that the striker is not available for transfer.
“I asked Dursun Özbek about Osimhen; he responded, ‘Regardless of the offers we receive, I will not sell him. Our goal is to secure our 27th championship,’” he mentioned on the Libero TV YouTube channel, as reported by habersarikirmizi.
“They expressed their ambition to reach the top 8 in Europe, or even the semi-finals. The team will be structured accordingly.”
Osimhen signed a permanent contract with The Lions last summer and is bound to the Istanbul club until the conclusion of the 2028-29 season.
