Vice President Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang Visits El-Wak Stampede Victims and Offers Government Assistance

The Vice President, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, has traveled to the 37 Military Hospital to provide comfort and support to those who were injured in the new El-Wak Sports Stadium panic.
The visit came as a direct result of the horrible incident that occurred during the El-Wak Sports Stadium’s Ghana Armed Forces Recruitment training, which left many people with varying degrees of injuries and the death of six young Ghanaians.
The Vice President spoke with the victims ‘ families while she was in the hospital, offering her personal comfort to them. She assured them that until their whole treatment, the government would be committed to covering their medical bills and making sure they received the best possible care.
The victims ‘ families were the victims ‘ families, and Prof. Opoku-Agyemang described the incident as tragic and regrettable. She stated,” The government is with you in this tough time.” Your well-being and wellness are our top priorities. Be certain that we may cover the full cost of your care and continue to support you throughout your treatment.
The Chief Defense Staff, Deputy Defense Minister, and hospital staff, who kept tabs on the people ‘ state, received the Vice President. She praised the medical team ‘ sharp and skilled handling of the situation.
To avoid a recurrence of such tragedies in the future, the federal has pledged to conduct a thorough research into the circumstances that caused the frenzy.
