Donald Trump was officially sworn in as the 47th President of the United States on 20th January, 2025 during a meeting held in Washington, D. C. The moment kicked off with Trump and First Lady Melania attending service at St. John’s Church, marking the beginning of the annual routines. Due to windy weather, the service was moved home, where Trump took the oath of office under the Capitol rotunda, with Chief Justice John Roberts administering the vow. Trump used a Bible given to him by his family, resting it atop the Lincoln Bible, symbolizing the history of the business. In his inaugural address, Trump proclaimed, “The golden age of America begins right now, ” and vowed to change what he called the “horrible betrayal” of the preceding leadership. He outlined important claims such as deploying military personnel to the southern border, ramping up oil production, and enforcing stricter immigration laws. Trump’s returning to the president is historical, making an extraordinary comeback after facing impeachment, legal indictments, and execution attempts. The commencement, which took place on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, saw Trump promises to work toward realizing King’s desire of unity and justice. The meeting marked the start of a new chapter in American elections, as Trump and his administration prepare to apply substantial changes to the state ’s institutions and policies. Some high-profile officials attended the event, including the world’s richest person, Elon Musk, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Amazon’s Jeff Bezos, and Google’s Sundar Pichai. Watch the video below. .
