The match ended without any goals during 120 minutes of play. Although Stella Nyamekye found the net for Ghana in the 27th minute, her goal was disallowed for offside following a VAR check. Josephine Bonsu, Boaduwaa, Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah, and Badu successfully converted their penalty kicks, while Sofia Guellati and Laura Muller netted for Algeria.
