A fire of a rare violence broke out in Ziguinchor in the night of yesterday, at around 3 o’clock in the morning, reducing to ashes the home of a university professor. The events took place in the Kantène district, located a few blocks from the city center. The victim, a teacher at the university Assane Seck de Ziguinchor, was lost in the flames. The disaster caused considerable material damage; no property could be saved. “The victim is currently in a hotel in the area, waiting to find a new accommodation”, confides a relative of the family.
