The lawyers of Lat Diop, former minister and director-general of La Lonase, are preparing a media offensive to denounce what they consider as a judicial harassment against their client, reports L’Observateur. Despite two decisions of provisional release, Lat Diop has remained detained since last September, due to systematic appeals by the Parquet général, rappelle la même source. Deploring also a media lynching, his lawyers have seized the bâtonnier, Me Aly Fall, to obtain the authorization to hold a press conference. Their objective: to inform public opinion and restore balance in the handling of this case, while guaranteeing a measured and responsible communication, indique le quotidien du Groupe futurs médias.
