A heart-breaking incident has shaken the Krofrom community in Kumasi, as a 27-year-old Mobile Money ( MoMo ) vendor, Patricia Nimako, was tragically shot and killed by armed robbers.
According to witnesses, two males on a bicycle approached her under the pretext of withdrawing funds.
But, as she attempted to help them, one of the gentlemen got off the vehicle, pulled out a weapon, and demanded that she hand over all the money in her hands.
Patricia, in an attempt to avoid the pirates, struggled with them, prompting the assailant to take her half before fleeing with mobile apps and GH¢10, 000 in money. Residents of the terrible tragedy are now worried and in shock, raising concerns about the rise in MoMo vendor attacks.
As specialists begin their investigations into the culprits, her figure has since been deposited at the morgue. People with pertinent information is asked to come forward and help with the ongoing investigation, according to the police.
The Patricia’s community has yet to come up and speak on the subject.
