Nigerian artist Michael Adebayo Olayinka, known as Ruger, has opened up about the traumatic impact of his first heartbreak at a young age. The ‘Toma Toma’ artist revealed that at just 6 years old, he was heartbroken after witnessing an older girl, who had once playfully called him her boyfriend, in a compromising situation with another man. During a recent appearance on The Bro Bants show, Ruger expressed how this incident traumatized him and influenced his development into a toxic person. I had an aunt whom I admired; she referred to me as ‘my boyfriend.’ I took it for granted that she was my partner. At just 6 years old, I felt heartbroken when I witnessed a man brutally attacking her through her window. The guy was really hurting her, man. Tears fell from my eyes. I experienced trauma. I began to sing ‘Imagine That’ by Styl-Plus.
