Ekurhuleni bidders urged to stay vigilant against scams  

The City of Ekurhuleni has recently been made aware of fraudulent activities targeting potential bidders.

Scammers are impersonating CoE officials and attempting to deceive suppliers into providing sensitive information or soliciting payments.

In the most recent incident, a service provider was called by someone claiming to be from CoE, informing them that they are recommended, and further requesting for the bidder to thank them in terms of monetary value.

The tender in question has not even been evaluated yet.

Please be vigilant and take note of the following:
1. Always verify communication by visiting the physical offices or using contact details indicated below.

2. Watch for red flags such as unfamiliar email addresses and contact numbers used. All City of Ekurhuleni landline start starts with 011-999.

3. Immediately report any suspicious activity to the City of Ekurhuleni through [email protected].
