Sandile Mthimunye, a 17-year-old from Tlakula Secondary School, achieved five distinctions in his final exams by putting in the hard work beforehand, encouraging fellow learners to study early and embrace opportunities like the Stable-Inn Camp for academic growth.
Sandile Mthimunye (17) from Tlakula Secondary School attained five distinctions in his final exams. The Ext 2 resident said he did the hard work before the exams and felt no pressure during them.
“At the end, I was just summarising because I already knew my work.”
Mthimunye achieved distinctions in mathematics, IsiZulu HL, economics, tourism and accounting.
“I was expecting three distinctions, and for the rest, I was shocked,” he added.
He plans to study further this year.
“When not studying, I listen to music because it eases my mind,” he said.
Mthimunye encourages other learners to study while they still have time.
“When the exams come, relax your mind and don’t feel pressured. Learners should also take advantage of opportunities like the Stable-Inn Camp.
“I know some of them think the camp is only for learners who struggle academically, but that is not true. I went there and learnt new things,” he concluded.
