Owen Leahy, co-founder of the Boston-based melancholy rock band This is Pointless has died, channel part Rob has announced.
Owen Leahy died on Monday, January 6, 2025, Rob announced, following a fight with addiction and mental health. No death reason was specifically stated.
A three-piece Boston, Massachusetts melancholy smoke rock band called Pointless. The party, which was founded ten years ago, plays activities and has developed a cult following.
Leahy played a key role in the formation of the band, convincing Rob of its necessity after the pair met while both attending an other high school for children with substance abuse issues. After both of them drank, Leahy called Rob and discussed the band’s thought.

Jesse Porter, also of the group, said of the later Leahy:” I’m at a loss for words straight now. Owen Leahy was a wonderful friend and member of the band; he generally seemed happy when we practiced. I can recall the first time we played together, and it was among the most enjoyable times I’ve always had while playing music.”
A GoFundMe fundraiser has been set up for the Leahy family, with a goal of$ 20, 000.
